Any registered adult volunteer who works with a troop, with outdoor program, a service team member, troop first aider, girls 14-17 are also welcome to attend (adults getting priority). EEO Statement: Training offered by GSBC is open to all girls 14-17 and adults regardless of socioeconomic status, racial, ethnic, cultural or religious background or disabilities (Blue Book of Basic Documents 2003).
A minimum number of 6 pre-registered participants are required to conduct any training. Expect to start on time. Arrive early enough to sign in; trainers will start at the designated time! Please remember, trainers are volunteers and they volunteer their time as well!
Participants must pre-register for training. Registration deadline is one week prior to the training date unless otherwise stated. Please use the monthly registration form in the training book. Volunteers may call in or use the links on the website/email to pre-register if there are no fees; however, workshops that have a fee or maximum participation will not be accepted over the phone or via the website/email. Confirmation will be sent to all those who pre-registered. Confirmations will include any changes, time/place, location , what to bring, etc. If you do not receive a confirmation after you have sent in a registration form please contact the office to ensure that your registration was received. If you see that a deadline has past and you still would like to attend please contact the office to see if the course is still running and that there is still room to accommodate you.
Most training is presented without cost. Fees are charged when there is food, craft supplies, manuals or other costs involved. If a volunteer is unable to pay the fee, please complete the financial assistance form #206 and submit with the training registration form. Information is confidential.
Workshops may be subject to cancellations if minimum participation is not met, severe or inclement weather, or a community facility "bumps" the training. Pre-registered participants will be notified. There are no refunds of pre-paid courses. A credit will be applied to another workshop of your choice if you cancelled 24 hours in advance or if cancelled by the council for one of the above reasons.

Please do not bring children- child care is not provided. This is for their safety and the consideration of those who are attending
Keep track of your training; bring your training card and have the trainer sign before you leave
If you did not receive a confirmation, call the Program Service Center to confirm the training
